Dave’s Sunday Free Play:

1* on Giants/Cowboys UNDER 42.5

The Key: Both the Giants and Cowboys are dead nuts under teams.  They both have QB issues as Eli Manning cannot get it done anymore, and Dak Prescott appears more and more like a one-hit wonder.  The Giants have weapons but no offensive line, and the Cowboys have an offensive line but no weapons.  And they are without their starting center right now.  But both teams do have great defenses that they’ll rely on this season.  The Cowboys only allowed 16 points and 293 total yards to the Panthers in Week 1.  The Giants only gave up 20 points and 305 total yards to the Jaguars in Week 1, but 7 of those points were from a defensive TD by the Jaguars.  The UNDER is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings with combined scores of 40, 22, 17 and 39 points.  All 4 went UNDER this 42.5-point total.  Take the UNDER.

Sunday's FREE NFL WINNER: New York Giants.

Game 287.

5:20 pm pst.

In a big, NFC East rivalry matchup, I must side with our Boys In Blue. The Giants took a tough, 5-point loss to the Panthers in the opening week. But their defense looked good, particularly against the run. QB, Eli Manning is always going to get his yardage. But, I feel the big edge here comes with NY's other two offensive superstars. OBJ, who pulled down 11 receptions for 111 YR last week vs. Jacksonville, will light up the scoreboard. The WR missed both meetings LY vs. Dallas. He lives for games like this. The other big name, rookie RB, Saquon Barkley (18 ATT on 106 YR LW) should once again hit the century mark as the Cowboys "D" can not key on him, having their hands full with the Giants receiving corps. New York is 5-2 ATS the L7 meetings in this series. Dallas is 2-5 ATS the L7 at home. Take the Giants. Thank you.

New York Giants +3

The Giants are worth a flyer here on Sunday night against the Cowboys. When these two teams meet the rivalry is always intense. Here, is a prime spot for the Giants to steal one on the road.

The Cowboys looked sluggish against the Panthers in Week 1, going scoreless for 3 straight quarters to start the game. This offense isn't as threatening as they've used to be, which certainly allows for defenses to really put pressure on.

Dallas only racked up 232 yards of offense and this Giants defense will look to cause more issues for them here on Sunday.

Some trends to note. Giants are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. Cowboys are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. Giants are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

Grab the points here with the visitors.

Back New York.

Good Luck, Razor Ray.

Giants vs Cowboys
3-105   at   BMaker

My free play is on the NY Giants at 8:20 ET. The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys, longtime NFC East rivals, square off in a SNF contest at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tx. Both teams sputtered offensively in their respective season-opening losses, as the Giants lost at home 15-10 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, while the Cowboys lost 16-8 at Carolina. Neither team wants to be staring at an 0-2 start, especially playing in a division featuring the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles. Dallas swept the season series in 2017, outscoring New York 49-13, and the trash-talking has already heated up between the rivals.

The Giants were only able to score 15 points against Jacksonville's outstanding defense in Week 1 but rookie RB Saquon Barkley (2018's No. 2 overall selection) finished with 106 yards on 18 carries in his NFL debut, while scoring the Giants' lone TD with a highlight-reel 68-yard run. WR Odell Beckham Jr, who missed most of last season due to a broken foot, had 11 receptions for 111 yards. QB Eli Manning threw for a modest 234 yards without a TD and one INT (67.8 QB rating). New York's lone TD came after it had fallen behind 20-9.

Dallas did not get on the scoreboard until the fourth quarter itself, in last weekend's 16-8 loss at Carolina. The Cowboys managed only 232 yards of total offense, while allowing QB Dak Prescott to be sacked six times. Dallas' passing game struggled with the departures of longtime standouts Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. Prescott threw for only 170 yards without a TD or INT. RB Ezekiel Elliott finished with 69 yards on 15 carries and scored the Cowboys' lone TD.

Yes, Dallas dominated New York in last year's two meetings but the Cowboys were just 3-5 SU & ATS at home in 2017 and this year's edition does not look much like last season's 9-7 team. Manning has 49 career TD passes against Dallas, his second-highest total versus any team (he has 51 against Philadelphia), and I'm of the belief that the Giants are the better team. Take the points.
